Deterministic AI Systems

Definition. A deterministic AI system is one whose behavior is constrained by explicit, repeatable rules, so that — for governance-critical decisions — the same inputs and policies always produce the same, auditable outcome.

Probabilistic models, deterministic guardrails

LLMs are inherently probabilistic. Deterministic AI systems wrap that probabilistic core in deterministic governance: the model reasons freely, but its permitted actions pass through rules that are fixed, testable and reproducible.

Applied

Gianluca Busato designs AI ecosystems where autonomous agents operate within deterministic governance frameworks — the principle at the heart of AINOVA.
